The code has not arrived
Check the number and poll the verification status. Wait at least 60 seconds before requesting a new code. A new request replaces the previous challenge. An unknown dispatch may still arrive; replay the same request key to inspect its state.
The code is rejected
Use the newest verification ID and code. Codes last five minutes and lock after five incorrect entries. OTP success confirms access to the receiving phone. The client handles account recovery and duplicate registrations.
The account reached a limit
RATE_LIMITED includes a retry delay. There is no daily spend cap. INSUFFICIENT_CREDITS means a top-up is required.
Charges and API access
Each accepted send or resend is charged. Code checks are included. Unresolved sends are charged after ten minutes; rejection before acceptance is refunded. Production uses your existing approved API key and available credits. Sandbox uses its own credential and the fixed code 123456.
