Review the document result
Read the document authentication status and extracted passport details. Fields can include the holder's name, passport number, issuing country and expiry date. Returned warnings help your team decide whether further review is needed.
What this check covers
Passport Check uses our existing document authentication service. Global coverage applies to the submitted document. Government database validation requires a separate service with its own country coverage; global database validation is on our roadmap.
The dashboard also checks Home Affairs when it extracts a valid South African ID number. For foreign passports, review the document authentication result. The overall status can show Review Required when the Home Affairs check is not performed.
