Capitec Business verification is now on the dashboard
Submit supported Capitec Business and Mercantile account checks from the dashboard, follow the job status and download the completed report. Checks can take around 30 minutes or longer; we email you when the report is ready. The existing asynchronous API remains available.

Read a South African Smart ID card’s barcodes through the dashboard or API. Choose barcode verification and add selected identity or Face Match checks. The full cross-check requires a selfie and includes Passive Liveness. The scanner is in beta; review capture and consistency warnings.

Consumer Trace API
No-record consumer trace results are now flagged clearly instead of appearing as blank fields. The change is backward-compatible and does not affect existing API integrations.
FaceMatch and Bank Validation Issues Resolved
Bank Validations and Face Match checks that rely on ID data were temporarily affected by a provider-side service interruption resulting in errors. Please retry the failed checks. The issue has now been resolved, and affected checks should process normally again. We have strengthened fallbacks and monitoring around this service to help us detect and respond to similar interruptions faster. If your check failed during this period, please retry it now.
