How to Use the VerifyNow Supplier Bundle in South Africa
A field-by-field guide to running and reviewing the VerifyNow Supplier Bundle for a South African supplier.

The VerifyNow Supplier Bundle combines four checks used during South African supplier onboarding. It returns company registration details, information about one selected director, AML and PEP screening for that director, and company bank-account validation in one dashboard workflow.
View the Supplier Bundle service page for the current fields and price. The bundle is available through the VerifyNow dashboard.
Supplier Bundle quick facts
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Where is it available? | VerifyNow dashboard |
| Which supplier does it cover? | A South African registered company |
| Which person is checked? | One selected South African director |
| What is combined? | Company, director, AML/PEP and company bank checks |
| What should a reviewer expect? | A combined result with fields, matches and review warnings |
What to prepare
Collect the supplier's registered company details before starting. Use the information supplied through your approved onboarding process and keep the supplier's authority or consent record with the file.
The workflow may ask for:
- Registered company name
- Company registration number
- One director's South African ID number
- Company bank name
- Account number
- Branch code
- Account type
- Exact account-holder name
Enter the account-holder name used by the bank. A trading name, abbreviation or spelling variation can produce a name comparison that needs review.
What each part of the bundle returns
Company registration check
The company section can return the registered name, registration number, status, company type, registered address and directors where those fields are available. Compare the result with the supplier's invoice, contract and onboarding form.
An active registration supports the company-identity part of a supplier file. It does not confirm that the supplier holds every licence, tax status or industry approval needed for the work.
Selected director check
The bundle checks one South African director selected during the workflow. The result can show identity details and returned directorship information. Review whether the selected person appears connected to the supplier company.
A missing or different directorship needs follow-up evidence. Ask the supplier for current company documents or a clear explanation rather than treating one field as a final decision.
AML and PEP screening
The selected director is screened against supported sanctions, politically exposed person, watchlist and relevant risk sources. A potential match is a review prompt. Compare names, dates, countries, aliases and identifiers before reaching a decision.
Keep the source detail and the reviewer's outcome with the supplier record. Where the FIC Act applies to your organisation, your risk management and compliance programme should determine escalation and approval steps.
Company bank validation
The bank section uses the company registration details, account information and exact account-holder name supplied in the request. It returns the available account and name comparisons for the reviewer.
Use the live result labels. A close or partial name result may need a bank letter or updated supplier document. Bank validation supports payment-control review and should sit alongside your internal approval and change-of-bank process.
How to run the Supplier Bundle
1. Open the bundle
Sign in to the VerifyNow dashboard and choose Supplier Bundle. A new user can create a VerifyNow account first.
2. Enter the company details
Use the registered company name and registration number from the supplier's source documents. Check every digit before continuing.
3. Select the director
Choose the South African director relevant to the supplier review. Confirm the ID number through your authorised onboarding channel.
4. Add the company bank account
Enter the bank, account number, branch code, account type and exact holder name. Review the preview before submitting the bundle.
5. Read each result section
Work through company status, director relationship, screening and bank validation separately. The combined format keeps the evidence together while preserving the meaning of each source.
6. Resolve review warnings
Warnings can point to missing company data, an unconfirmed director relationship, a potential screening match or a bank-field difference. Record the supporting evidence and the person who approved the outcome.
How to use the result in supplier onboarding
Start with the legal entity. Confirm that the registration details describe the business named in the contract. Review the selected director next, then resolve any AML or PEP screening item. Finish with the bank section before payment details are approved.
This sequence gives procurement and finance teams a consistent review path. It also makes later bank-detail changes easier to compare with the original supplier file.

Current VerifyNow service boundary
The Supplier Bundle covers the company registration, one selected South African director, director screening and company bank validation described above. It does not supply tax clearance, B-BBEE status, professional licences, product certification, insurance cover or proof that work was delivered. Those checks need separate evidence and, where relevant, an official issuing source.
The result supports a supplier review. Your organisation sets its procurement rules, lawful basis, risk decision and approval record.
Supplier Bundle questions
Does the bundle check every director?
The bundle checks one selected South African director. Run an appropriate separate workflow if your policy requires evidence for additional people.
Does a potential AML or PEP match prove identity?
A potential match needs human review. Similar names can belong to different people, so compare the available identifiers and source context.
Can the bank result replace a payment approval process?
The bank result adds evidence to that process. Keep dual approval, callback or other payment controls required by your organisation.
Is the Supplier Bundle available by API?
The current bundle is a dashboard workflow. Individual VerifyNow services may have separate API options in the API documentation.
